You can start a new email conversation directly from Notion by manually creating a page in your connected database and filling in the email address property. Then, add a comment and its content will be sent to the email address you entered.

Be extra careful if you’re using labels and initiating a new email conversation from Notion! Your email (sent from the Notion comment section) may be sent but the reply will not be synced if the email thread has not the right label. In case of desynchronization, delete the page in Notion, remove the label in Gmail and then re-add it so that the full conversation gets re-synced correctly in Notion.
