About this template:

This email inbox is built to work hand in hand with SlapMail. With SlapMail, your emails land directly in Notion and you can reply from here. The template also works on its own if you fill it via other automations.

Two linked databases. Emails stores the threads, Contacts stores the people. The relation between them associates every email thread to a contact, so you can open a contact and see their full history.
Buttons and visual indicators. Each thread has buttons to archive/unarchive and to mark as read/unread. A blue dot shows unread threads at a glance.
Automation. When a new email arrives, Last email date updates automatically with SlapMail. An automation then unarchives the thread and marks it as unread, so it comes back to the top of your inbox.
Three views.
- Inbox - active threads: not archived and not snoozed, sorted by most recent email.
- Snoozed - threads with a Next reminder date, put aside until you want to deal with them.
- Archived - threads you have archived, kept for reference.
Contacts view. A simple table listing every contact with their name, email address and the threads linked to them. Open a contact to see their full email history in one place.
Thread ID and Open in Gmail. The properties Thread ID and Open in Gmail are only needed if you synchronize your mailbox with Notion thanks to SlapMail.

Make it yours. This template is set up to look and feel like a classic inbox, but that's only a starting point. Add the views and properties that match how you actually work: a view per tag (recruitment, newsletters, client emails, personal), a status property to track where a conversation stands, an owner property if you share the inbox, a board grouped by stage for sales conversations, or a relation to your tasks or projects databases.
