Several factors could explain why your emails aren't arriving in your Notion database. Let's review them one by one.

Verify that your sync is active

  1. Go to app.getslap.co and verify that the sync is well active. If it’s not, let your mouse on the inactive to see what’s the issue and then edit your sync to correct it. It’s probably a good idea to have a look at this doc to setup your sync correctly.

Check your Notion Database

  1. First, make sure you’re looking for the email in the correct Notion Database. From app.getslap.co and the list view of your syncs, you can navigate directly toward your Notion database.

  2. Then, make sure that there is no filter on your Notion database that could hide the newly created pages.

  3. If you don’t see the content of the email, make sure that comments are active in your database. More information here.

Verify your mailbox

  1. Go to app.getslap.co and open your sync to verify if which mailbox is connected to your Notion database.

Are you using labels?

  1. If you’re using labels to filter the emails, make sure the email you’re looking for in Notion has well the correct label.

Be extra careful if you’re using labels and initiating a new email conversation from Notion! Your email (sent from the Notion comment section) may be sent but the reply will not be synced if the email thread has not the right label. In case of desynchronization, delete the page in Notion, remove the label in Gmail and then re-add it so that the full conversation gets re-synced correctly in Notion.
