When creating a new Email-to-Notion Sync, you can choose which emails to send to specific Notion databases based on their labels.

This feature allows you to easily route emails from the same mailbox to different Notion databases based on their content. For example, emails labeled "Sales" can be sent to your leads database, while those labeled "Support" can be directed to your ticketing database.

How to filter the emails based on their label

Option 1 - Send all emails to Notion

If you select the "Send all emails to Notion" option, every email you send and receive will arrive in your Notion database.

Option 2 - Send specific emails to Notion

If you select "Only send emails with specific labels to Notion," you can choose which emails to send to your Notion database based on their labels.

Note that "SENT" and "INBOX" are default labels present in all Gmail accounts.

The usecase of the aliases

If you use email aliases (e.g., your main email is [email protected] and you have aliases like [email protected] and [email protected]), you can use label-based filters to sync emails from specific aliases with your chosen Notion database.

In Gmail, you can set up rules to automatically assign labels based on the recipient or sender. Here's an example of how to do this. First, let's open the filters:

Next, define the appropriate conditions:

Finally, I choose which label to assign based on these conditions:

Note that I'll create another filter to apply the same label when the "To" field is "[email protected]". This ensures that emails both sent and received using that alias will have the same label.
